Moms, our daughters are hungry. They not only can put away a lot of food (are all children bottomless pits?) but they are hungry to be seen. To be known. To be loved. This book gives us moms an opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with our daughters, to check in with their lives, to ask questions and listen to her answers. It gives us time to teach them life-changing truths about who we are as daughters of God.

This book teaches our daughters truths about what makes us girls, how the female body works, and what makes us women. It affirms our natural desires to love others and want love in return, but it does this in light of our Catholic Faith. Sacred Scripture, Saintly Wisdom, Papal encyclicals and motherly advice provide truths that help us remain steady and anchored in our identity as women especially in a time where the waves of a loud society crash in on our daughters development, self knowledge and worth. This 8.5x11 paperback book includes:

  • 12 Beautiful custom-designed watercolor illustrations within the book and available for download for person use

  • Open ended discussion prompts

  • Crafty Mother-daughter activities for each chapter

  • 12 different sister saints and their stories

  • Easy to read chapters with relatable stories

  • Authentic Catholic Teaching that inspires, uplifts and directs hearts toward God

      Not very feminine

One of the first pages of the book (p XII) is a faceless girl in a sleeveless shirt and short shorts holding up her arms like a boy doing "muscles". I was appalled. For a book saying it celebrates the beauty of her changing female body ... to show a boy's gesture! And in that outfit! Immodest! And, in an age where girls are continually pushed toward sports and other masculine gender identity! Poor choice.

Also, way too much "theology of the body." Not age appropriate. I stopped reading.

Hi Mary, Thank you for your review! I am sorry we seem to disagree about what authentic Catholic femininity is. I have refunded your full order amount. Please allow me to respond to your comments...

Our femininity doesn’t hinge on poses or outfits. Defining femininity by our outfits or poses is what contributes to the world’s transgender epidemic. If one is a young girl who prefers shorts and ball caps, what is she to do? How is she to feel? With your logic, these girls are somehow masculine and should question their femininity, which isn’t what we want to promote. The Lord's call is always freeing, not constraining.

Our femininity is written all throughout our bodies. Women who wear shorts are not “dressing like boys”. They are just girls wearing shorts. Women can flex their muscles and their femininity is not called into question. Once created a woman, always a woman. No matter what!

I charitably ask you to reconsider what you’ve been taught is feminine. Femininity is not a set of outfits, poses, or personality traits. It’s an irrevocable gift God has written on our bodies and hearts. Girls who prefer no make up and wear shorts can still live out their femininity by taking Mary as her example, just as girls with long hair and skirts can as well.

Femininity is not a costume. It’s so so so much more.

You’re very welcome for the refund. I want all my customers to be happy and I pray one day you can read the whole book with an open heart.

      God bless,

      Stacy

      We loved it!

Thank you for this gift that has been a blessing for my daughter and me.

We have cried together and bonded in the Lord in such a beautiful way. We go to have a coffee together once a month and we have used this as a guide for our conversations. It has given her strength and confidence of being herself, thankful with God's gifts.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I really recommend it. This is a treasure.

Very much enjoy reading this book

I have three daughters. My eldest, 16, skimmed through the book and wanted me to do it with her even though she's studied lots of TOB content. This book goes into the heart and being of each girl, made in God's image, which is so valuable, esp. when the world is misleading many young women to turn away from their God-given femininity. I'll be going through it with my 11 year old, and eventually with my youngest. Thank you so much for this beautiful, Catholic, wholistic resource.

      Bonding Experience

I read Bloom to my two oldest daughters, one age 12 and the other 11, and while both my daughters are very different in likes and personality, both enjoyed. I learned so much about them, their fears, their inspirations, and the love language, for me, was huge. I know we bonded so much through this book. I have five other children who require much of my attention, so it was wonderful that we had designated time to sit and enjoy, loving each other and loving our Lord.

      Empowering Conversations

It has been such a privilege going through this book with my daughter. In a time when the messages can be so confusing for our kids, Bloom was the perfect book to have some much-needed conversations about what it means to be a woman: spoiler we’re all “fearfully and wonderfully” made different. It’s such a sweet book to help my daughter feel comfortable in her own skin and confident in the woman she will eventually grow into.
